Golden Warrior Gold Lightan is a mecha anime series that aired in Japan from 1981 to 1982. The plot follows a young boy named Hiro Taikai, who discovers a gold lighter that is actually the colossal Golden Warrior Gold Lightan. This robot is on a mission to protect Earth from an invasion led by King Ibalda. 

Typically, Gold Lightan appears as a small, gold Zippo-style lighter that Hiro carries in his pocket. When needed, he transforms into a massive robot. As the central hero of the classic 1981 anime produced by Tatsunoko Productions, Gold Lightan battles against the malevolent Ivalda Empire, which aims to dominate Earth with its army of machines.
